Rochester, NY Wedding Photographer heads to Conn.

Mark catches his first glimpse of Stephanie as she comes down the aisle on the arms of her father.

Who gives this bride...?

The enchanted evening began with the couple's first dance.

Below, the newly weds wait to be introduced.

Jay enjoyed a break as a Rochester, NY wedding photographer and taking photos of the wedding simply for pleasure---as he always does- even when he is not working, but being a guest from out of town and celebrating with family was extra special! Congratulations, Stephanie and Mark!

Rochester, NY wedding photographer witnesses couple tying the knot.

Knots have long been the symbol of lasting bonds in many cultures. It was all together fitting that Stephanie and Dave chose a nautical theme for their wedding as the couple share a love of sailing. The reception was held at the Rochester Yacht Club.

Dave is ready to "cut and run" from the church to the reception!

Rochester, NY wedding photographer spends time in the garden

Palmer Photography captured this black-eyed Susan, striking a spider pose.
This is a....Garden Spider, of course! (We looked it up)
Jay stole a moment in the garden to capture these images. It is my pleasure to share them with you. Enjoy.

Jay and I would like to thank the Rochester Civic Garden Center for giving us the opportunity to share our Photography Studio and gardens with the community.
On July 11, we had approximately 300 visitors stopped by during the Garden Tour! It was a great pleasure for us to meet and greet people from all over Rochester and speak with them about our passions; photography, gardening and our chickens! Initially, we worried that our gardens would not be in tip-top shape for the show; however, Jay and I chipped away at the chores and by showtime- we were ready! Many thanks to Christine Froehlich and the Rochester Civic Garden Center for the invite and to the kind, sociable people that graced us on that beautiful day!

Springtime Engagements

Congratulations to Matt and Amanda on your engagement! 2010 is proving to be a busy year for wedding photography - despite the economy - Love won't wait!

Even though it was cold, windy and rainy on this morning, Amanda had her heart set for outdoor engagement photography. We ran outside the studio for a quick shot, and found a little magic in the cloudy light.

We are so ready to be working in the gardens. The Forget-Me-Nots we help sow every year are all over the property- just a few more days they will be in full bloom! (This picture is from last year's sow.)

Jay enjoys capturing nature's bounty. Not many people see this side of his large body of work. I hope you enjoy the few photographs we choose to post here. If you have any technical questions, please feel free to post your questions here and Jay will answer them.
It is hard to express how seriously we take our roles as wedding photographers. We understand that your wedding day is one of thee biggest events of your life! We are always honored to work with couples as they celebrate with their family and friends.

On this particular day we were especially blessed to photograph the wedding of Crystal and JT. We have known Crystal's parents since high school-in the early '80's! Her parents were high school sweethearts and all day long I was in awe of the beautiful daughter they raised.

Jay has a way with making his clients feel relaxed around him and his camera. Often, people don't even realize he is photographing because he seems so non-chalant, but don't let that fool you- Jay is always concerned about capturing photographs that will tell the complete story.

Crystal was glamorous with her hair swept up and embellished with a flower. I was totally infatuated with her look! I snapped this picture while watching Jay work with the bridal party.

Crystal and JT's bridal party was large and they were so much fun!! They posed for tradition shots but watching them clown around and celebrate together made for a great day. Jay always reassures clients that if they relax and enjoy the day "...great photos will follow!" ~Karen

We are grateful to have been part of such a special occasion. Crystal is picking up the album and today we ordered another one for ourselves to enjoy and to display in the studio!

Ballroom Dance Event for CURE Childhood Cancer

This past Saturday, The Memorial Art Gallery hosted an exhibition of ballroom dancers. I was invited to come and take promotional shots of the event. These images capture the graceful movement of the dancers -but make no mistake- you had to be there to witness the action first hand. I was struck by the athletic abilities and physical strength of the dancers. If you are a fan of Dancing with the Stars, you understand how quickly the contestents get in shape after repeated practice and rehearsal.

Support the Local Bands!

A good local band is essential for our summer festivals, parties, events . . . not to mention the bars - big and small - live music makes a good time happen. Most of the musicians I know play and sing for the love of the music, and earn pennies per hour considering time spent rehearsing and moving equipment. I have really low rates for local musicians in need of promotional portraits - see you out there!
